1. For women, breast cancer (Don’t laugh it’s a serious disease)

   For men lung cancer. (?)

   I’m not 100% sure though.

5. You’re going to have to be more specific if you want the correct answer.
   What do you mean by “death rate”? The largest number of people who die from a particular cancer? Or the cancer most likely to cause death if you have it?
   And is this information limited to the United States or where? zJ0n is giving international information which does not reflect what happens here at all.

6. It depends on if you are looking for a common cancer that has the greatest death rate or the type of cancer that is the most life threatening.

   In general . . all cancers once they become metastatic have the greatest death rate. All cancers that are caught in the early stages of disease have the greatest survival rates. Which means that even pancreatic cancer can be treated and ‘cured’ if found in the early stages of disease. So it isn’t the specific type of cancer . . it is the progression of disease and how early or late it has been discovered and treated. It is metastatic cancer that is the most difficult to treat successfully.

   That being said . . there happens to be different types of cancers that also have higher grades and are far more aggressive than lower grades. So a metastatic highly aggressive cancer is the most deadly type of cancer anyone can have . . these types of cancers can double in size in weeks or months. Aggressive cancers can occur in many of the common cancer types such as breast and prostate as a subtype of that specific disease . . thus: Basal-like/triple negative breast cancers and inflammatory breast cancer are considered far more aggressive than other breast cancer types, Glioblastoma multiforme is considered one of the most deadly and aggressive types of brain cancer; many subtypes of sarcoma are considered highly aggressive and fast growing and few treatment options are available (examples would be Rhabdomyosarcoma, Ewings sarcoma, DSRCT); Neuroblastoma is a childhood cancer considered aggressive . . and there are, unfortunately, hundreds more. Just pick one that is metastatic and highly aggressive.
